Atlantic International Graduate Program

  • Must have a 2-year degree, diploma or other credential from a publicly funded institution in an Atlantic province within 24 months at the time submitting permanent resident application
  • Must have been a full-time student for the entire duration of study
  • Must have lived in an Atlantic province for at least 16 months in the 2 years before getting your degree, diploma or credential
  • Must have a valid status to work, study or train in Canada
  • Language proficiency for AIP – English or French – minimum CLB 4
  • Settlement Fund – show you can support yourself and your family when you come to Canada (not required if already living and working in Canada with a valid work permit)
  • Must have a non-seasonal full-time job offer in NOC 0, A, B, or C for at least 1 year from an AIP designated employer
  • Must meet employment requirements of the job offer; however, job does not need to be in the same NOC as other jobs you have had

Work experience not required for international graduates hired through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot.

Atlantic High-Skilled Program

  • Must have worked in a management, professional or technical/skilled job (NOC 0, A, B) for at least 1 year (paid full-time or equivalent part-time with a same or different employers) in a same occupation in the last 3 years – can be inside or outside Canada
  • Self-employed experience does not coun
  • Must have at least Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree OR Educational Credential Assessment for a foreign degree, diploma or certificate
  • Language proficiency for AIP – English or French – minimum CLB 4
  • Settlement Fund – show you can support yourself and your family when you come to Canada (not required if already living and working in Canada with a valid work permit)
  • Must have a non-seasonal full-time job offer in NOC 0, A, B, or C for at least 1 year from an AIP designated employer
  • Must meet employment requirements of the job offer; however, job does not need to be in the same NOC as other jobs you have had

Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program

  • Must have worked in NOC C or as Nurse (NOC 3012/3233) for at least 1 year (paid full-time or equivalent part-time with a same or different employers) in a same occupation in the last 3 years – can be inside or outside Canada
  • Self-employed experience does not count
  • Must have at least Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree OR Educational Credential Assessment for a foreign degree, diploma or certificate
  • Language proficiency for AIP – English or French – minimum CLB 4
  • Settlement Fund – show you can support yourself and your family when you come to Canada (not required if already living and working in Canada with a valid work permit)
  • Must have a non-seasonal full-time permanent job offer in NOC 0, A, B, or C from an AIP designated employer (Nurse NOC 3012/3233) also have job offer in NOC C from either a nurse’s aide, orderly, or patient service associate NOC 3423 or a home support worker NOC 4412)
  • Must meet employment requirements of the job offer; however, job does not need to be in the same NOC as other jobs you have had
  • have worked in a job that requires a high school education and/or job-specific training for at least a year
